Drink 4 pints of beer quickly - that should help.

I suggest taking 2-3 Advil BEFORE you exercise. It really helps!!!! After you exercise, I would take a hot shower to help relax the muscles.

Massage the areas that are in pain, and apply heat. Whatever you do, do NOT apply cold or the muscles will tighten there and cause even graeter pain. A relaxing bath may help, as well as normal exercise. Hope it helps!

Take Tylenol. The only way to speed the healing of the muscle tissue you damaged is to rest. The body only rebuilds damaged tissue when you’re not using it, so fully relax the affected muscles as much as possible and your pain should be gone in about 2 days.

Try using a complete amino acid blend supplement this helps with pain during and after exercise.

Drink lots of water, do some small stretches, and take an asprin. But since it was a vigorous workout after not doing it in a while, you’re going to be inevitably sore. Sorry. But that’s all I can really suggest.

IBProfen (Aleve, Motrin IB etc…) will help with swelling in the muscles. Try working the same muscles which hurt again, only not so hard. The increased blood flow will help. Stretch. And finally, eat banana, strawberries, and anything else high in Folic Acid. Good luck.

if you exercise, and get sore afterwards, the only way to cure the soreness is to do more exercise, just a little less

You body needs resources to heal itself up now. Drink a protien shake and eat a sizeable meal. Take some natural vitamin E (1000IU), 2000mg Vitamin C, and a multi-vitamin. Stretch for about ten minutes. Sleep for a good 8 hours.
